Mission & Vision
The Seaforth High School Band is dedicated to fostering musical excellence, teamwork, and community spirit through the art of both marching and concert performance. We strive to inspire students to reach their fullest potential, develop a lifelong appreciation for music and create memorable experiences that unite our school and our community. Together we embrace discipline, creativity and passion, celebrating our achievements both on and off the field as well as whatever stage we are on.
Band Staff
Clay Perry is a North Carolina native, born and raised in the Robbins community. For the last 12 years, he held the Director of Bands position at North Moore High School, his alma mater. During his tenure at North Moore, the Marching Mustangs received consistent superior ratings and top place finishes in competition, while both Symphonic and Jazz bands have received superior ratings at state contest and regional competitions. He is excited to start his new journey at Seaforth and the many wonderful things to come.
Clay holds both BM and MM degrees in Trumpet Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he also completed his Education Certificate. Clay is an avid performer and holds the Lead Trumpet chair with the Heart of Carolina Jazz Band and is a member of the Piedmont Wind Symphony. When not playing and teaching music, he enjoys spending time in the woods hunting, baling hay, and on the golf course.
Clay's greatest joy is his family. His wonderful wife Morgan, daughter Ava, and son Owen are without a doubt the best thing that has or will ever happen to him. He would like to thank them for sharing him with his band children and for the sacrifices they have made for the sake of his love of music.
